The Sumiton Christian Eagles basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Oak Grove Tigers to 41 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Corner for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Sumiton Christian will battle a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 41-38 non-league win over Vincent (Vincent, AL). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 13-3.
The Tigers (6-15) will now prepare for their contest against Northside (Northport, AL). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Northside ran past Fayette County (Fayette, AL), 74-73, in a non-league contest.
