The South Plainfield Tigers basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Perth Amboy Panthers to 46 in the Tigers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Tigers now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sayreville for a Greater Middlesex - White contest on Tuesday, January 24. South Plainfield will battle a Bombers team coming off a 50-42 league win over North Plainfield (North Plainfield, NJ). The Bombers record now stands at 3-14.

The Panthers (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against South Brunswick (Monmouth Junction, NJ). The Vikings come into the Greater Middlesex - Red contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, South Brunswick prevailed over Piscataway (Piscataway, NJ), 58-46, in a league contest.
