Winnetonka Griffins (Kansas City, MO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO), 57-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Winnetonka upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Griffins host Excelsior Springs (Excelsior Springs, MO) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-9.

Next up, the Pirates play the Central Indians (St. Joseph, MO) in a Freelance bout, on Friday, February 3. Platte County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record.
