Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ambridge Bridgers (Ambridge, PA), 51-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Riverside improves its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Panthers host Union Area (New Castle, PA) to confront the Scotties in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 23. The Scotties come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Union Area won 66-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA)

Next up, the Bridgers confront the Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 2 challenge, on Thursday, January 26. Ambridge will attempt to improve on its 1-12 season record.
