Indiana High School Basketball - Jay County crushes Delta

January 19, 2023: Portland, IN 47371

Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Delta Eagles (Muncie, IN), 61-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jay County upgrades its record to 19-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to Southern Wells (Poneto, IN) to clash with the Raiders in a Allen County bout on Saturday, January 21. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 8-11. Southern Wells lost 59-25 in their recent league bout against Adams Central (Monroe, IN)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Shelbyville Golden Bears (Shelbyville, IN) in a Hoosier Heritage bout, on Saturday, January 21. Delta will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Golden Bears go into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 58-55 non-league loss to Whiteland (Whiteland, IN).
