The Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the host North Cedar Knights to 24 in the Vikings non-league victory on Thursday.
The Vikings now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central City for a Tri-Rivers - West contest on Friday, January 20. Edgewood-Colesburg will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 78-39 league loss to Springville (Springville, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-14.
The Knights (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Calamus-Wheatland triumphed over Easton Valley (Preston, IA), 54-22, in a league contest.
