The Mattoon Greenwave (Mattoon, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Urbana Tigers (Urbana, IL), 56-22 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Greenwave (11-11) will now prepare for their test against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 9-13 record. In their last test, St. Joseph-Ogden walloped Monticello (Monticello, IL), 52-23, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Bloomington for a Big Twelve test on Tuesday, January 24. Urbana will encounter a Purple Raiders squad coming off a 59-49 non-league loss to Canton (Canton, IL). The Purple Raiders record now stands at 4-18.
