The Sumner Cowboys basketball team (Kentwood, LA), was overwhelmed 72-6 in Thursday's league battle with the host Pine Raiders (Franklinton, LA)
The Raiders now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Amite for a 3A District 7 battle on Friday, January 27.
The Cowboys (0-9) will now prepare for their battle against Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA). The Jaguars come into the non-league battle with a 10-7 record. In their last battle, Pope John Paul II trounced Our Lady Academy (Bay St. Louis, MS), 42-15, in a non-league battle.
