In Saturday's non-league match, the host West Anchorage Eagles basketball team scored a good 51-42 triumph over the Ronan Chiefs.
In their next game, the Eagles meet the Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet match, on Monday, January 23. West Anchorage will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a 1-3 record after their 50-22 non-league loss to Ketchikan (Ketchikan, AK).
With the defeat, Ronan falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Browning (Browning, MT) to confront the Indians in a A Northwest challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 11-0.
