In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Bluegrass United Bluehawks basketball team scored a tight 47-42 triumph over the Anderson County Bearcats.

In their next game, the Bluehawks meet the Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY) in a non-league match, on Monday, January 23. Bluegrass United will attempt to better on its 18-1 season record.

With the defeat, Anderson County moves to 0-1 on the year.
