Hansberry Bengals (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Johnson Pumas (Chicago, IL), 69-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Hansberry upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Bengals travel to Butler (Chicago, IL) to play the Lynx in a bout on Saturday, January 21. The Lynx go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Butler won 44-42 in their recent non-league bout against Dunbar (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Pumas play the Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers (Chicago, IL) in a bout, on Saturday, January 21. Johnson will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
