The Capitan Tigers basketball team (Capitan, NM), was overwhelmed 72-30 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM)
The Buffaloes now possess a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ruidoso for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 20. Melrose will confront a Warriors team coming off a 76-60 non-league loss to Lovington (Lovington, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 8-7.
The Tigers (5-10) will now prepare for their battle against Tatum (Tatum, NM). The Coyotes come into the non-league battle with a 1-15 record. In their last battle, Tatum was overwhelmed by Dora (Dora, NM), 46-34, in a non-league battle.
