The Glen Oaks Panthers basketball team (Baton Rouge, LA), was overwhelmed 80-52 in Friday's non-league battle with the host East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA)
The Spartans now possess a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Amant for a 5A District 5 battle on Monday, January 22. East Ascension will confront a Gators team coming off a 63-49 league win over Dutchtown (Geismar, LA). The Gators record now stands at 21-6.
The Panthers (13-14) will now prepare for their battle against Southern Lab (Baton Rouge, LA). The Kittens come into the non-league battle with a 15-8 record.
