Fontainebleau Bulldogs (Mandeville, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA), 53-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Fontainebleau upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Covington (Covington, LA) to clash with the Lions in a 5A District 6 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 10-11. Covington lost 74-28 in their recent league bout against Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA)

Next up, the Tornadoes clash with the Pine Raiders (Franklinton, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Hammond will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 11-11 record after their 64-39 non-league loss to Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA).
