The Sedgwick County Cougars (Julesburg, CO) basketball nipped the host Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs (Haxtun, CO), 48-46 in Friday's league test.

The Cougars (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Garden County (Oshkosh, NE). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Garden County got by South Platte (Big Springs, NE), 39-31, in a non-league test.

The Fightin' Bulldogs now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they host Otis for a non-league test on Saturday, January 20. Haxtun will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 64-57 league loss to Idalia (Idalia, CO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-4.
