Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) and the visiting Joel Barlow Falcons (Redding, CT), saw Pomperaug's basketball squad wallop Joel Barlow by a tally of 68-43.

With the victory, Pomperaug improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Weston (Weston, CT) to play the Trojans in a Southwest challenge on Monday, January 22. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Weston lost 59-55 in their recent league challenge against Immaculate (Danbury, CT)

Next up, the Falcons play the Notre Dame Catholic Lancers (Fairfield, CT) in a Southwest challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Joel Barlow will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record.
