Northshore Panthers (Slidell, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mandeville Skippers (Mandeville, LA), 42-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Northshore upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season. The Panthers host Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA) to play the Green Wave in a 5A District 6 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 16-3. Ponchatoula won 74-28 in their recent league bout against Covington (Covington, LA)

Next up, the Skippers play the Slidell Tigers (Slidell, LA) in a 5A District 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Mandeville will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 17-7 record after their 68-54 non-league win over Bourgeois (Gray, LA).
