Maine High School Basketball - Massabesic overwhelmed by Sanford

The Sanford Spartans basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Massabesic Mustangs to 41 in the Spartans non-league victory on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Scarborough for a AA South contest on Tuesday, January 23. Sanford will battle a Red Storm team coming off a 53-40 league win over Thornton Academy (Saco, ME). The Red Storm record now stands at 11-2.
Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME) in a A South bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Massabesic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 55-40 non-league win over Lake Region (Naples, ME).
