Sebeka Trojans (Sebeka, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Pine River-Backus Tigers (Pine River, MN), 61-58 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sebeka upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Trojans host Long Prairie-Grey Eagle (Long Prairie, MN) to play the Thunder in a A Section 5 bout on Monday, January 22. The Thunder come into the bout with a record of 4-11. Long Prairie-Grey Eagle won 68-36 in their recent league bout against St. John's Prep (Collegeville, MN)

Next up, the Tigers play the Red Lake Warriors (Red Lake, MN) in a A Section 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Pine River-Backus will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 100-58 league win over Blackduck (Blackduck, MN).
