California High School Basketball - Las Lomas can't hold off Benicia

The Benicia Panthers basketball team scored 85 points and restricted the host Las Lomas Knights to 78 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bethel for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Benicia will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 40-35 league loss to Hercules (Hercules, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-6.

The Knights (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Menlo School (Atherton, CA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Menlo School edged Lynbrook (San Jose, CA), 50-42, in a non-league contest.
