California Grizzlies (San Ramon, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Granada Matadors (Livermore, CA), 48-38 in a league bout.

With the win, California upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, CA) to clash with the Ugly Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Ugly Eagles go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Clayton Valley Charter won 45-34 in their recent league bout against Miramonte (Orinda, CA)

Next up, the Matadors clash with the Dublin Gaels (Dublin, CA) in a bout, on Saturday, January 27. Granada will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
