Appleton City Bulldogs (Appleton City, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lakeland Vikings (Deepwater, MO), 63-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Appleton City upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Bulldogs host Liberal (Liberal, MO) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Western Missouri bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 15-4.

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Macks Creek Pirates (Macks Creek, MO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Lakeland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 72-27 league win over Weaubleau (Weaubleau, MO).
