Maine High School Basketball - Thornton Academy knocked off by Cheverus

The Cheverus Stags basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Thornton Academy Trojans to 44 in the Stags non-league triumph on Friday.
The Stags now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lewiston for a AA North contest on Tuesday, January 23. Cheverus will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 57-52 league loss to Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-5.
The Trojans (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Gorham (Gorham, NH). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 2-9 record.
