Nevada Tigers (Nevada, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Fort Scott Tigers (Fort Scott, KS), 53-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nevada upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Tigers travel to Hume (Hume, MO) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 9-2.

Next up, the Tigers play the Girard Trojans (Girard, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Fort Scott will attempt to improve on its 9-1 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 0-0 non-league Louisburg (Louisburg, KS).
