Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Joel Barlow Falcons (Redding, CT), 55-54 in a non-league test.

The Panthers (9-3) will now prepare for their test against Weston (Weston, CT). The Trojans go into the Southwest - Patriot test with a 1-8 record. In their last test, Weston was tipped by Immaculate (Danbury, CT), 56-29, in a league test.

The Falcons now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Notre Dame Catholic for a Southwest - Patriot test on Tuesday, January 23. Joel Barlow will encounter a Lancers squad coming off a 55-48 league loss to Bethel (Bethel, CT). The Lancers record now stands at 1-11.
