The St. Louis Catholic Saints (Lake Charles, LA) basketball nipped the visiting Kinder Yellowjackets (Kinder, LA), 29-26 in Friday's league test.

The Saints (4-14) will now prepare for their test against South Beauregard (Longville, LA). The Knights go into the 3A District 3 test with a 18-7 record. In their last test, South Beauregard got by Lake Charles College Prep (Lake Charles, LA), 54-8, in a league test.

The Yellowjackets now own a 12-9 record. They play next when they host Iowa for a 3A District 3 test on Tuesday, January 23. Kinder will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 62-27 league win over Jennings (Jennings, LA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 23-3.
