In Friday's league outing, the Turtle Mountain Braves (Belcourt, ND) basketball squad overwhelmed the host New Town Eagles (New Town, ND), by a count of 62-26.

The Braves (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against Stanley (Stanley, ND). The Blue Jays go into the A Region 3 outing with a 2-11 record. In their last outing, Stanley was crushed by Rugby (Rugby, ND), 61-34, in a league outing.

The Eagles now hold a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Dunseith for a A Region 3 outing on Monday, January 22. New Town will clash with a Dragons squad coming off a 57-54 non-league loss to Westhope/Newburg (Westhope, ND). The Dragons record now stands at 1-6.
