The Phoenix Spartans basketball team (Braithwaite, LA), was overwhelmed 63-32 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting St. Mary's Academy Cougars (New Orleans, LA)
The Cougars now possess a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Episcopal for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 23. St. Mary's Academy will confront a Knights team coming off a 55-54 non-league loss to West Feliciana (St. Francisville, LA). The Knights record now stands at 6-12.
The Spartans (13-13) will now prepare for their battle against De La Salle (New Orleans, LA). The Cavalier come into the non-league battle with a 6-14 record.
