In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Palo Verde Titans soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the San Miguel Vipers.
The Titans (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against Safford (Safford, AZ). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Southeast battle with a 9-2 record. In their last battle, Safford was nudged by Pusch Ridge Christian Academy (Tucson, AZ), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
The Vipers (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against Santa Cruz Valley (Eloy, AZ). The Dust Devils go into the 3A South battle with a 1-6 record. In their last battle, Santa Cruz Valley was nudged by Sabino (Tucson, AZ), 11-0, in a league battle.
