San Benito Greyhounds (San Benito, TX) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears (San Juan, TX), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Greyhounds face the Economedes Jaguars (Edinburg, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 22. San Benito will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Weslaco (Weslaco, TX).

The Bears now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Hanna for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 23. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will face a Golden Eagles team coming off a 1-1 non-league Southside (San Antonio, TX). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 3-3.
