Maywood Academy Nighthawks (Maywood, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Maywood CES Wolfpack (Maywood, CA), 46-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Maywood Academy upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Nighthawks host Marquez (Huntington Park, CA) to clash with the Gladiators in a bout on Friday, January 26. The Gladiators go into the bout with a record of 14-1.

Next up, the Wolfpack clash with the Sotomayor Wolves (Los Angeles, CA) in a bout, on Monday, January 22. Maywood CES will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 65-52 league loss to Marquez (Huntington Park, CA).
