Minnesota High School Basketball - Hayfield crushes Southland

Hayfield Vikings (Hayfield, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Southland Rebels (Adams, MN), 70-44 in a league bout.
With the win, Hayfield upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to United South Central (Wells, MN) to play the Rebels in a A Section 2 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 3-2.
Next up, the Rebels play the Schaeffer Academy Lions (Rochester, MN) in a A Section 1 bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Southland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 66-59 league loss to Lyle/Pacelli (Lyle, MN).
