Holcomb Hornets (Holcomb, MO) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host North Pemiscot Mustangs (Wardell, MO), 77-9 in a league bout.

With the win, Holcomb upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Hornets host Portageville (Portageville, MO) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Portageville lost 63-54 in their recent non-league bout against South Pemiscot (Steele, MO)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles (Poplar Bluff, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. North Pemiscot will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 68-54 non-league win over Southern Reynolds (Ellington, MO).
