    St. Ignatius Wildcats (Cleveland, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish (Akron, OH), 63-62 in a league bout.

    With the win, St. Ignatius upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to St. Edward (Lakewood, OH) to clash with the Eagles in a Freelance bout on Friday, January 6. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-0. St. Edward won 84-67 in their recent non-league bout against Mars (Mars, PA)

    Next up, the Fighting Irish clash with the Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. St. Vincent-St. Mary will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record.
