In Monday's non-league outing, the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Midland Legacy Rebels (Midland, TX), by a margin of 71-26.
The Sandies (24-3) will now prepare for their outing against Caprock (Amarillo, TX). The Longhorns go into the 5A Region I District 3 outing with a 8-10 record. In their last outing, Caprock was trounced by Odessa (Odessa, TX), 38-18, in a non-league outing.
The Rebels now own a 3-14 record. They play next when they travel to Midland for a 6A Region I District 2 outing on Friday, January 6. Midland Legacy will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 74-54 non-league loss to Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-10.
