In Monday's non-league outing, the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) basketball squad beat the visiting Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY), by a margin of 66-46.
The Lions (7-2) will now prepare for their outing against Floyd Central (Eastern, KY). The Jaguars go into the non-league outing with a 10-4 record. In their last outing, Floyd Central defeated Harlan (Harlan, KY), 65-54, in a non-league outing.
The Hawks now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host East Ridge for a non-league outing on Friday, January 13.
