Clarksville Indians (Clarksville, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host North Butler Bearcats (Greene, IA), 43-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Clarksville upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Indians host New Hampton (New Hampton, IA) to clash with the Chickasaws in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 5. The Chickasaws go into the bout with a record of 2-6. New Hampton won 67-21 in their recent non-league bout against Charles City (Charles City, IA)

Next up, the Bearcats clash with the West Fork Warhawks (Sheffield, IA) in a Corn Bowl bout, on Tuesday, January 3. North Butler will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Warhawks go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 60-35 non-league win over Osage (Osage, IA).
