The Newark Norsemen basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Pontiac Indians to 37 in the Norsemen non-league triumph on Monday.

The Norsemen now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Indian Creek for a Little Ten contest on Thursday, January 5.

The Indians (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Spartans enter the Illini Prairie contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, St. Joseph-Ogden was outscored by Riverdale (Port Byron, IL), 36-35, in a non-league contest.
