Christ the King Gladiators (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host North Lawndale Phoenix (Chicago, IL), 69-67 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Christ the King upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Gladiators travel to Leo (Chicago, IL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Leo won 68-61 in their recent non-league bout against Bogan (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Phoenix play the Dunbar Mightymen (Chicago, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. North Lawndale will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Mightymen go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 47-39 non-league loss to Little Village (Chicago, IL).
