Case Cardinals (Swansea, MA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Apponequet Regional Lakers (Lakeville, MA), 56-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Case upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Greater New Bedford RVT (New Bedford, MA) to play the Bears in a South Coast bout on Friday, January 5. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 0-5. Greater New Bedford RVT lost 73-53 in their recent league bout against Somerset Berkley Regional (Somerset, MA)

Next up, the Lakers play the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional Falcons (North Dighton, MA) in a South Coast bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Apponequet Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
