Maine High School Basketball - Mount View can't hold off Belfast

The Mount View Mustangs basketball team (Thorndike, ME), was nudged 32-25 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Belfast Lions (Belfast, ME)

The Lions now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waterville for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 4. Belfast will battle a Panthers team coming off a 56-54 non-league win over Erskine Academy (South China, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 1-6.

The Mustangs (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Lincoln Academy edged Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME), 68-35, in a non-league battle.
