Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates (Fountain City, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Black River Falls Tigers (Black River Falls, WI), 69-64 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cochrane-Fountain City upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Pirates host Luther (Onalaska, WI) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, January 8. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Luther won 97-32 in their recent non-league bout against Mondovi (Mondovi, WI)

Next up, the Tigers play the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau Red Hawks (Galesville, WI) in a Coulee bout, on Thursday, January 4. Black River Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Red Hawks go into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 76-55 non-league win over Mauston (Mauston, WI).
