The Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine to 47 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg for a National Trail contest on Friday, January 5. Brownstown/St. Elmo will battle a team coming off a 41-35 league win over Neoga (Neoga, IL). The record now stands at 8-9.

The (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Marshall (Marshall, IL). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Marshall was routed by Sullivan (Sullivan, IN), 70-29, in a non-league contest.
