In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Buffalo Island Central Mustangs (Monette, AR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Harding Academy Wildcats (Searcy, AR), by a count of 71-38.
The Mustangs (15-7) will now prepare for their outing against Riverside (Lake City, AR). The Rebels go into the 2A Region 3 outing with a 18-5 record. In their last outing, Riverside was crushed by Manila (Manila, AR), 72-59, in a non-league outing.
The Wildcats now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bald Knob for a 3A Region 6 outing on Thursday, January 4. Harding Academy will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 76-47 non-league win over Bradford (Bradford, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-2.
