In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Calhoun Warriors (Hardin, IL) basketball squad beat the host Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL), by a margin of 66-46.
The Warriors (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Seymour (Payson, IL). The Indians go into the non-league outing with a 6-11 record. In their last outing, Seymour was topped by Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL), 67-53, in a non-league outing.
The Miners now own a 4-13 record. They play next when they travel to Southwestern for a South Central outing on Friday, January 5. Gillespie will clash with a Piasa Birds squad coming off a 76-50 non-league win over SIUE East St. Louis Charter (East St. Louis, IL). The Piasa Birds record now stands at 11-6.
