Ponca Indians (Ponca, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Crofton Warriors (Crofton, NE), 52-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ponca upgrades its record to 10-0 on the season. The Indians travel to Lawton-Bronson (Lawton, IA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Lawton-Bronson won 47-46 in their recent non-league bout against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Battle Creek Braves (Battle Creek, NE) in a C1 District 8 bout, on Thursday, January 4. Crofton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 50-46 non-league loss to Elkhorn Valley (Tilden, NE).
