West Virginia High School Basketball - Eastern edges Point Pleasant

The Eastern Eagles (Reedsville, OH) basketball nipped the host Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV), 50-47 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Eagles (1-9) will now prepare for their test against Waterford (Waterford, OH). The Wildcats go into the Tri-Valley II test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, Waterford got by Frontier (New Matamoras, OH), 52-34, in a non-league test.

The Big Blacks now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Warren for a Twin State test on Friday, January 5. Point Pleasant will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 76-15 non-league win over Fairfield Christian Academy (Lancaster, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 8-2.
