In their next game, the Rebels face the South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Effingham County will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 49-42 non-league loss to George Walton Academy (Monroe, GA).

Next up, the Buccaneers confront the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs (Twin City, GA) in a A D2 Region 3 challenge, on Friday, January 5. McIntosh County Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 39-37 non-league loss to Claxton (Claxton, GA).
