The Fairmont Firebirds (Kettering, OH) basketball felled the visiting Fairfield Indians (Fairfield, OH), 54-35 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Firebirds (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Beavercreek (Beavercreek, OH). The Beavers go into the Greater Western Ohio test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, Beavercreek thwarted Xenia (Xenia, OH), 77-29, in a non-league test.
The Indians now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Mason for a Greater Miami test on Friday, January 5. Fairfield will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 59-50 non-league win over Riverside (Greer, SC). The Comets record now stands at 5-4.
