Texas High School Basketball - Gruver fells Vega

Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX), 54-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gruver upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Canadian (Canadian, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Canadian won 54-40 in their recent non-league bout against Panhandle (Panhandle, TX)

Next up, the Longhorns clash with the Memphis Cyclones (Memphis, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Vega will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Cyclones go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 80-50 non-league loss to Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX).
